Mechanism of action
GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide that acts as an agonist at the growth-hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a), stimulating growth-hormone release from the pituitary in research models.
It is studied as a potent GH secretagogue, with literature noting modest effects on ACTH, cortisol, and prolactin relative to highly selective agents — a useful contrast in secretagogue-specificity research.
