Mechanism of action

Sermorelin corresponds to the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone — the minimal fully active GHRH fragment. It is studied as a GHRH-receptor agonist that stimulates endogenous growth-hormone synthesis and release from the anterior pituitary.

As a GHRH analog it is a common reference tool in GH-axis and pituitary-secretion research.
