Mechanism of action
TB-500 corresponds to the active region of Thymosin β-4, a naturally occurring actin-sequestering protein. Its central LKKTETQ motif binds G-actin, and in research models it is studied for its influence on actin polymerization, cytoskeletal organization, and directed cell migration toward sites of injury.
Published investigations also examine downstream effects on angiogenesis and endothelial migration. All study contexts are in-vitro or animal-model based.
